During English class Ms. Gardiner decided that we would read Girl Missing.
Girl Missing was written by Sophie McKenzie. It’s a real good book and I highly recommend it, once you start reading it you don’t want to let it down.
It’s about a girl called Lauren who was adopted when she was 3 years old. Her best friends is Jam. One day after school when Lauren was about 14, she realised that her mum does not have any pictures of her before the age of 3 and her parents wouldn’t tell her anything, so she took it into her own hands. Lauren goes on a website called missing-Children.com, and finds an American girl named Martha Lauren Purditt, who went missing less than two months before Lauren was adopted. After comparing the photograph of Martha with a photograph of herself as a toddler, and then one of herself now with an age-progressed photo, Lauren notices that she and the missing girl look-alike, which led her into believing that she might be Martha Lauren Purditt. Lauren real wants to know who is she. But when she gets to America, things are a lot more complicated then herself and Jam thought the would be and they end up getting them selves in a hole lot of trouble.
